Layer Name Tag is an After Effects script that fixes one of the most frustrating problems in modular design work: identifying pre‑comp layers in a comp overview without opening each one.
If you've ever worked with toolkits, render setups, or modular animations, you know the issue. You have 20 to 30 pre‑comp layers that all look identical in the viewport. The only way to tell them apart is to read their names in the timeline — slow, error‑prone, and breaks your flow.
